For: High school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace.

Eligibility

  • High school student (on track to graduate from an Oregon high school)

Award: $1,000 (Multiple winners)

Deadline

  • Early bird: December 1, 2018 (5:00 pm)

  • General: December 14, 2018 (5:00 pm)

Eligibility

  • Graduate with class of 2019
  • Must be of Latino ancestry or from a seasonal farm worker family
  • Must plan to enroll as a student at a two or four year public or private, accredited post-secondary institution in the fall of 2019

Chemeketa Foundation Scholarships

·         Apply between February 1 – March 31, 2019

·         There are many general scholarships and you may apply for all of them with one application.

·         CCC is holding 4 workshops on how to apply, etc., two in Salem and one each in Yamhill & Dallas.

Chemeketa Scholars

·         Chemeketa Scholars may receive full tuition for up to 2 years, including the summer between

·         Must pay for books and fees yourself (submit FAFSA for help with these)

·         Cumulative unweighted GPA through 1st semester of the senior year of 3.5 or higher  

·         Full time CCC enrollment next fall (minimum 12 credits); if join military within 3 months of graduating, can enroll at CCC within one year of discharge

·         Home schooled students may apply

·         ACT composite score of 28 or SAT combined Reading & Writing score of 1330

·         Complete Chemeketa placement tests and earn minimum placement into Reading 115, Writing 115 and Math 095 

·         Information session: January 18 2018, 6:30 pm at the Salem campus, Building 6 Auditorium

·         Apply between March 4-8, 2019, by 5:00 p.m.      

·         To keep this scholarship for the 2nd year, you must maintain a 3.25 GPA at CCC (30% of the recipients don't) Plan to work hard.

·         If you keep your grades up for both years and take the maximum load, this scholarship is worth $8,000!


College Board Opportunity Scholarships

Award: Varies depending on steps completed. Completion of all steps will make student eligible to win up to $40,000.

Eligibility: Open to U.S. students. This scholarship does not require and essay, application, or minimum GPA.

Award: $1,000

For: Students age 17 years or older who plan to start a program of higher education within the next 12 months or who are currently enrolled in a program of higher education. Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

Constitutional Essay Contest

·         Award: $250 (First Place), $100 (Second place), $50 (Third Place). Also each entry will receive a $5 Dutch Bros gift card and a pocket constitution. A bonus $10 Dutch Bros gift card will be given if you submit a creative meme, in response to one of the questions above (to be posted on Facebook or other social medias).

Diversity Scholarships

·         Check with any University to see if they offer Diversity Scholarships.

·         Most universities offer diversity scholarships anywhere from $500-$2,000 a term. Being diverse means showing a great deal of variety. In today's society, it's easy to become accustom to surroundings and blend in with the crowd, simply because it's easier. Health Care Scholarship by Kaiser Permanente

·         Eligibility

o    Attend an eligible high school (including CHS)

o    Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (weighted).

o    Are planning to pursue an education and career in an approved human health care field (see list at application website).

o    Plan to enroll in Fall 2018 at a U.S accredited college or university as a full-time, degree or certificate-seeking first year student.      

o    Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency is not required..

o    Academic achievement.

·         Award: $1,000 (12 awards given)

·         Eligibility

o    Must be a son or daughter of a current Oregon Wheat Growers League grower member, or a son or daughter of an employee of an Oregon Wheat Growers League grower member

o    Must have worked part time for a wheat producer member of the OWGL

OSAC (OR Office of Student Access & Completion)

·         Submit ONE application to be eligible for over 450 scholarships - this is the source of all state-awarded financial aid

·         Awards (Amounts Vary)

o    Some awards are based on academic majors and career interests

o    Some awards are based on being in a special population such as being a single parent, a former foster child, having a GED, or being home-schooled

o    Some awards on basis of parents' places of employment
