It’s time for 6th grade Outdoor School again! Polk Soil & Water Conservation District is looking for qualified and enthusiastic high school students to be Outdoor School counselors. Are you interested in the great outdoors, education or science? Apply today! Need math help? Can’t make it to after school tutoring? Any math student may come to Mr. Huhn’s room from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. on Monday and Wednesday for help. Start the semester off right and get the extra help you need.

Juniors and Seniors: If you are interested in attending a field trip to the Springdale Job Corps center pick up a permission slip in the counseling office. Job Corps is a FREE education and training opportunity where young adults learn careers like: carpentry, culinary arts, business technology, welding, urban forestry and many more. Space is limited to only 13 students so you must act quickly if you want to go. See Mrs. Olson if you have questions.

Did you know that there are scholarships advertised on Central’s counseling website that are available to underclassmen? One just went up for $2,500 to help you study to get a private pilots certificate. While you’re at the site, click on SORT to find others open to younger students.

Dance! Dance! Dance! Come to the Spanish Club Festive Hat dance on Friday from 8-11 in the cafeteria. $3.00 with your school ASB card and a hat. $4.00 with ID only. Come support the Spanish Club and don’t forget to bring your hat. And remember, it must be appropriate.
