Central High School Bulletin for Tuesday, February 25th, 2020

CONGRATULATIONS Taylor Hagedorn! At the State Swimming championships, Taylor placed 2nd in the 500 Freestyle and 3rd in the 200 Freestyle! She is the 1st female swimmer in our program to ever compete and score in a State Championship Final! 

 

The Panther Wrestlers battled to a 5th place team finish in the Mid Willamette Conference Tournament this weekend and qualified 6 wrestlers for the State wrestling tournament! Ty Pearson placed 4th at 132 lbs., Ethan Dunigan placed 2nd at 138 lbs., Brock Pierce placed 3rd at 170 lbs., Gabe Cervantes placed 3rd at 182 lbs., Gabriel Padilla placed 2nd at 220 lbs., Miguel Sandoval placed 4th at 285 lbs. They will join Leslie Torres, who qualified for the girls state tournament, this Friday and Saturday at the Memorial Coliseum. Good luck and GO PANTHERS!!!!

It is chicken bagel sandwich day at Tuesday lunch. 

 

Hey y'all! FFA Week is here! Make sure to show your FFA pride by wearing blue and gold or FFA apparel on Wednesday. Also, don't forget to guess how many candy corns are in a jar at lunch on Thursday. Friday is a scavenger hunt and you have the opportunity to win fun prizes! 

 

Are you interested in the AVID program? AVID is a college and career readiness system that trains students to be independence learners and helps them prepare for and get accepted to college. AVID students are bright students who have the desire to go to college and the willingness to work hard. They may be the first in their families to attend college. One period a day, AVID students learn organizational and study skill to help them take more rigorous classes and prepare for college. AVID has openings for next year in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. If you'd like to apply, please see Miss Duncan for an application packet. 

 

All students interested in boys and girls golf, there is a mandatory meeting in Mr. Everett's room Thursday right after school. (205) If you are unable to attend, please speak with Mr. Everett individually. 

 

Calling all tennis players and those wanting to join a lifetime sport to get registered for sports. Practices start next Monday! See Mrs. Wallace if you have questions about registering. See you on the courts at 4PM next Monday!
