Community, staff and students are invited to a Meet & Greet with the Central High School principal finalists.  February 20, 2018 at 3:30pm-4:30pm in the CHS Cafeteria.  Please join us to welcome and get to know our two finalists.

Superintendent Kubista names two finalists for next Central High School Principal.

Superintendent Kubista is pleased to announce that two finalists have been selected for further consideration to be Central High School’s next principal beginning July 1, 2018. Dr. Jannice Jobe, retired Central School District Administrator, will complete her term as interim CHS principal on June 30th. A committee of Central HS staff, community members, and parents conducted initial interviews with seven candidates. The two finalists being considered are:

Cedric Cooper

Since 2014, Cedric Cooper has been the Principal at Torrington High School in the Goshen County School District of Wyoming, where he previously served two years as a middle school assistant principal. Cooper’s teaching experience includes 11 years in Nebraska schools. He also served four years as a High School Talent Advisor for the Avenue Scholars Foundation, which is focused on connecting underserved students to career and college. His Master of Education in Educational Leadership was obtained from Doane College, with honors, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Montana State University.

Donna Servignat
Since 2014, Donna Servignat has been the Assistant Principal of Century High School in the Hillsboro School District. Servignat’s teaching experience includes 14 years in the West Linn-Wilsonville schools. She also served four years as the Activities Director and three years as the World Language Department Chair at Wilsonville High School. Servignat’s leadership also includes AVID implementation. Both her Master of Education and her Bachelor of Arts in French were obtained from Portland State University.


The finalists have been invited to the District to engage in a rigorous vetting process with students, staff, and community members. Superintendent Kubista extends an open invitation to students, staff and community members to meet these outstanding candidates on February 20, 2018 at 3:30 pm in the Central High School cafeteria.

We are inviting parents and community to join us on Tuesday, January 9th at 6 pm in the Central High School Auditorium to gather input for the high school principal search.  There will be a short presentation by Superintendent, Jennifer Kubista, followed by time for parents and community to give us input on the qualities and the characteristics you are looking for in the new High School Principal.  The meeting should last no longer than one hour.  We look forward to seeing you next Tuesday, 6 pm in the Central High School Auditorium.
